Matthew 6:9-10 NIV
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven…’”
When we pray “Our Father,” we are remembering that we are deeply and completely and uniquely loved and important to God. And the more that takes root in us, something happens that begins to replace our fears and anxieties and insecurities with a calmer confidence and a new ability to love others that Our Father loves.
You are my Father in Heaven
I am already a child of Heaven (Phil 2:20)
You love me just as you love Jesus! (Jn 17:23)
You are the Creator of the universe and you’re my Father!
You are my Creator
I exist because you want me to exist (Rev 4:11)
In you I live and move and have my being (Acts 17:28)
As “our Father,” others are your precious sons and daughters
